Commemorating Washburn's 135-year history, Washburn is building 135 limited edition models based on our 1937 #5244/#5246 Solo Dreadnoughts. These 135 instruments will be serialized starting from year 1883 and ending with year 2018. This historically accurate model is made in the U.S.A. at Washburn's custom shop to match the original size and shape from our 1937 #5244/#5246 Solo Dreadnought. The limited edition all-solid Revival Series Solo D135 is loud and rich featuring a solid Sitka spruce soundboard braced with scalloped-X high-alpine European spruce, and paired with solid African mahogany back and sides. The classic Washburn "smile" bridge, Revival '30s style headstock and faux-tortoise pickguard are inspired by the original 1937 models. Playability is enhanced by modern "C" shaped neck and Graph Tech "Ratio-Tuned" open-back tuners with butter-bean knobs.
